Bustling Centre

Moe is a bustling town with a population of some 17,000 people located on the Western edge of the Latrobe Valley. The community enjoys stunning views of the Baw Baw Ranges and the rolling hills of West Gippsland.

Popular Stopping Point

The shopping is good and Moe is a popular stopping point for people travelling into the mountains for skiing, hiking, fishing and camping.

Bright Future

Moe was built on Agriculture, Gold and Brown Coal. The town is going through a period of renewal after a number of years of hardship that came with the restructure of the State Electricity Commision.

A Great Place to Live

There is a strong sense of community and growing pride in what Moe has to offer. The town also has excellent recreational facilities including indoor and outdoor sports centres, an all weather atheletics track, two 18 hole golf courses and numerous parks and gardens.

Award Winning Lifestyle

Moe won the Victoria State Tidy Towns Award in 2007 and was runner up in 2008. It was also awarded the Australian National Community Action Award in 2008. Further, the towns Central Activity District is about to undergo the biggest refurbishment seen in 30 years.

Ideally Located Affordable Housing

People are waking up to the great lifestyle on offer in Moe and the surrounding district; affordable housing and great access to some of Victoria’s best nature based experiences.

The ocean beach at Inverloch is an hours drive south. In winter you can head up the newly completed South Face Road and be at the top of Mt Baw Baw deciding whether to ski or board in well under 60 minutes.

Walhalla, one of Victoria’s most popular tourist destinations is just up the road and the Gippsland Lakes are less than three hours drive away.

Closer than You Think

Getting to Moe has never been easier. It is 134 km east of Melbourne on the Princes Highway. Alternatively you can travel on the fast train from Flinders street and get to town in 95 minutes.
